Duzce University

Located between the two metropolises of Turkey, Ankara and Istanbul, Düzce University (DU), one of the young universities, was founded on March 17, 1992. It has been growing rapidly since its establishment on its campuses in Konuralp Campus. Prioritizing science production in line with international standards, the university takes into account national and international needs in the education process. Düzce University constantly renews itself by following scientific developments and technologies in Turkey in a research environment with international competitive capacity. Düzce University has made progress on this path since its establishment and has become one of the fastest growing universities. As of today, it has 14 faculties, 2 colleges, 10 vocational schools and 26 research centers. With more than 2000 academic and administrative staff, Düzce University is proud to provide quality and contemporary education to nearly 30,000 students. Since the day it was founded, the university values the social and cultural needs of its students as well as their scientific and intellectual development with its vision of “Creating Value”. For this reason, the university strives to provide the necessary infrastructure and facilities to fulfill this mission. Düzce University is a university that prioritizes scientific research, follows international scientific developments, and adopts the mission of producing science according to its results. In this sense, it has carried out important studies through institutes providing undergraduate and graduate education, as well as application and research centers. In fact, it has started to prioritize social research on social problems in coordination with the Sociology, Psychology, and Health School departments. The most concrete indicator of these studies is the Migrant Women Research Center, which has been very active since its establishment in 2019.
