Spoluprácou pre lepšiu budúcnosť – Veľký Meder (SPLB) is a civil association whose main purpose is to promote and develop activities for the active participation of citizens at local, regional, national and international levels. It provides services in various areas of social life, in particular in the following areas: a) education and creation of opportunities for disadvantaged and marginalized groups through education, lifelong learning and extracurricular activities using modern communication technologies (Internet, Skype, Facebook, Moodle); b) development of social responsibility by promoting communication and dialogue between people and different sectors; c) raising public awareness of rights and responsibilities and legal awareness by providing administrative and consulting services for disadvantaged and marginalized groups; – d) (re)integration of job seekers into the labor market, focusing on disadvantaged groups; e) information and consulting activities and professional consulting; f) international institutional exchange of information on the labor market and good practices. Its founders have many years of experience in professional consulting and international partnerships. SPLB’s primary target group is disadvantaged people, especially the long-term unemployed; young people; people with disabilities, socially deprived people. SPLB also cooperates with educational institutions, career guidance and counselling organisations, labour market services, civil society organisations and experts in the field of social inclusion in Slovakia and the EU. It is experienced in developing regional partnerships with the participation of stakeholders, local government representatives, employers, NGOs, career counsellors, school counsellors, organising seminars, workshops and information days at national level with the support of regional and community centres. SPLB carries out educational activities in different forms (face-to-face educational activities, distance learning, e-learning) for different target groups and adult education. In 2015 SPLB was awarded an Honorable Mention in the National Award in the field of career guidance and counselling “for the implementation of projects and consultancy activities supporting lifelong learning and the integration of disadvantaged groups into the labour market”. - It is a member of the Association of Adult Education Institutions, which unites 113 members, and the Association of Career Guidance and Career Development, which unites 127 members, consisting of NGOs, public and private organizations in the field of adult education.
